Our pioneering decision to launch CITYTHINKING, halfway between an urban lab and a consultancy, and our collaboration with leading academic, public and private institutions around the world, have allowed us to pour all our knowledge into CITYPLAIN®, urban and territorial design software for city extensions.
CITYPLAIN is a cloud-computing tool for urban planning that addresses the global need for affordable housing within city extensions. By weaving together geometry and data to make better cities, it allows scenarios to be compared comprehensively and teams to collaborate, improving decision-making. CITYPLAIN helps design more vibrant residential districts with better functional, environmental and socio-economic performance.
These tools have allowed us to pioneer working hand in hand with the construction industry to make affordable housing development easier. By driving standardisation — repeating design so that our solutions are easier to build and industrialise — we have developed modular residential design platforms for city extensions: a set of new construction solutions for buildings of between 4 and 24 storeys.
Following the models of other industries around us, we have adopted LEAN and AGILE methodologies to achieve adaptable, flexible designs without losing efficiency in manufacturing and assembly. Working comprehensively from architecture and urbanism, with the tools offered by the local context of each development, we create unique solutions for each manufacturer in a digital environment that shorten time to market, support continuous improvement in their processes and lower the costs passed on to buyers.
