Residencial San Isidoro completed: 136 subsidised homes in Palmas Altas

Seville is growing southwards with developments such as Palmas Altas, which are adding new neighbourhoods to a city that has been under pressure from a housing shortage for years. It is in this context that Residencial San Isidoro has been completed: a Vimpyca development in which EDDEA is involved, comprising 136 subsidised homes.
An open block with shared space at its heart
The project is organised as an open block that places the shared space at the centre and ensures good living conditions: dual aspect, cross-ventilation and natural light in every home.
It works with a range of unit types and an architecture that avoids repetition, treating subsidised housing as an active part of the urban fabric rather than a second-class product.
Projects like this are part of a bigger challenge: ensuring that the city’s growth is matched by enough affordable housing.
