EDDEA to design the 101-home IRIS development for Grupo Insur in Entrenúcleos, Dos Hermanas

Grupo Insur has awarded EDDEA the full design of the IRIS development, a residential scheme of 101 homes to be built in Entrenúcleos, Dos Hermanas (Seville). EDDEA’s selection through a competitive process underlines the clarity of its urban proposal and its inclusion of an innovative programme that combines homes with workspaces.
Innovation in design and construction
The IRIS project stands out for its modern, efficient approach, introducing a system of industrialised bathrooms in a Grupo Insur development for the first time. This advanced construction method not only ensures greater quality control and sustainability but also shortens construction times, setting a milestone in the developer’s standards.
Cristina Salazar, managing director of EDDEA, highlights the importance of the collaboration: “The IRIS project represents a step forward for both companies. We have opted for a contemporary design that is sensitive to its setting in Entrenúcleos, combining quality homes with new ways of working and advanced construction technology”.
The design is distinguished by the inclusion of professional offices on the ground floor with independent access, diversifying residential uses and encouraging local economic activity. This solution offers flexibility for both residents and outside professionals.
The layout of the complex follows a scheme of functional rationality, with a range of home types and terraces designed to optimise sunlight and natural ventilation, in line with the sustainability criteria of urban developments in the Seville metropolitan area.
With construction due to start in 2025, the IRIS project strengthens both companies’ presence in a strategic location that combines proximity to Seville with the advantages of modern urban planning.
