Seville brings together some twenty European ports at AIVP’s river port cities workshop

Seville hosted the European workshop on river port cities organised by the Port Authority of Seville and the international association AIVP, which brought together some twenty European ports to share good practice in port–city integration.

José María de Cárdenas, CEO of EDDEA and Citythinking and a member of the Technical Office for the Port Urban District (Distrito Urbano Portuario), spoke at the first workshop, devoted to the urban-port district, and acted as guide on the visit to the port area.

The meeting focused on a condition that Seville shares with few European ports: that of being an inland river port with live port activity right in the heart of the city.
