Kaohsiung Pop Music Centre shortlisted for ArchDaily’s Building of the Year 2023

The Kaohsiung Pop Music Centre, developed by Manuel A. Monteserín’s team with EDDEA as partner and project manager, is among the nominees in the Cultural Architecture category of ArchDaily’s Building of the Year 2023 awards, the most widely voted open poll in the sector.
It is the second time a work by the studio has competed for these awards, following the nomination of the Museo Íbero in Jaén in the 2021 edition.
The hexagonal grid under scrutiny
Meanwhile, Parametric Architecture magazine published on 4 February 2023 an article devoted to the hexagonal grid that orders the geometry of the complex and to the relationship between that mesh and the programme of halls, squares and outdoor spaces.
