Kaohsiung Pop Music Centre in the spotlight at ArchDaily, STIRworld and Arquitectura Viva

Weeks after opening to the public, the Kaohsiung Pop Music Centre has made its way into the leading international architecture titles. On 2 January 2022 ArchDaily published the complex’s full project profile – 88,000 square metres for the Kaohsiung City Government – crediting EDDEA as partner and project manager alongside Manuel A. Monteserín’s team.

An architecture read from the sea

On 8 January, STIRworld magazine devoted an article to the complex’s tessellated profile and the marine geometry that orders its parts. Arquitectura Viva, for its part, added the building to its catalogue with full team credits and a description of the four elements that structure the complex: The Great Wave, The Whales, The Dolphins and The Coral.

Developed over a decade, the project has become the great icon of Kaohsiung’s waterfront and the studio’s most widely acclaimed international work.
