EDDEA takes part in the R&D phase of “Andalucía Construye en Verde” for industrialised subsidised housing

The Andalusian Housing and Refurbishment Agency (AVRA) has launched the research and development phase of the “Andalucía Construye en Verde” (Andalusia Builds Green) project, a Public Procurement of Innovation aimed at defining a construction system for industrialised, nearly zero-energy subsidised housing.
Following a competitive dialogue procedure, the Agency has awarded €2,634,132 to two consortia, within a total investment of €3,436,400, 85% co-financed by ERDF funds. EDDEA is part of one of these two teams, in a joint venture (UTE) with Ghenova, Tecnalia, Aicia and Ghenova Digital.
Artificial intelligence, digital twin and BIM
The work combines artificial intelligence, digital twin technology and BIM methodology to optimise the architectural design of multi-family buildings and reduce their energy consumption, both during construction and throughout the building’s service life.
The commission consolidates a line of work the studio has been developing for years around industrialisation and affordable housing, which had already taken shape in the Plataforma Urbana de Vivienda for AVRA.
