José María de Cárdenas presents “Arcas: urban and territorial initiatives” at the Iniciativa Sevilla Abierta lecture series

José María de Cárdenas, founding partner of EDDEA, has spoken at Iniciativa Sevilla Abierta’s lecture series “La ciudad y su modelo” (The city and its model), held at the Casa de la Ciencia in Seville, with the talk “Arcas. Iniciativas urbanas y territoriales” (Arks: urban and territorial initiatives).

Cárdenas presented the “arca” (ark) as a tool for bringing together administrations, international experts, local specialists and research centres around projects capable of generating social, environmental and economic wealth. He illustrated the approach with EDDEA projects such as the design of a new residential neighbourhood in Moscow, the urban integration of a national park with the city of Sofia, and the proposal to open Seville’s convents to the city.
